We believe it is important for students to understand the process for creating work that is of high quality. High quality work demonstrates complexity, craftsmanship, and has an authentic purpose. We teach students that their first work is not always their best work, the importance of multiple drafts, how to use a rubric, and how to give and receive critique and feedback to improve the work.
